About This Songwright
Forty years of life, loss, and living are woven into the music of Andy Roose. Hailing from Farmington, Missouri, Andy is an accomplished acoustic guitarist and harmonica player who crafts timeless Americana singer-songwriter material drawn straight from a deep well of personal experience. With four decades of songwriting behind him, he approaches his craft as both an art form and a therapeutic refuge, famously declaring that “sad songs make me happy” because of their power to heal and release life’s weight.
Preparing for his official showcase debut tomorrow, October 10, 2026, Andy is in his element whenever he steps into a true listening room setting. Rather than relying on volume or gimmickry, he draws audiences in through the intimacy of his guitar work, authentic harmonica accents, and the rich backstories behind every track. For listeners who cherish the vulnerable, story-first spirit of traditional Americana, an evening with Andy Roose offers a masterclass in honest storytelling.
