About This Songwright

If you’ve spent any time in the Joplin music scene over the last two decades, chances are you’ve heard the work of Trevor C. Smith. A guitar player since the turn of the millennium and a stage veteran since 2002, Trevor has spent over twenty years weaving himself into the cultural fabric of Southwest Missouri. For a solid decade, he was a driving force behind the band Ebb & Flow, a project that became a local staple and took his sound on the road through the heart of Oklahoma and Texas.

While he takes the stage under his given name, Trevor’s online and musical output lives under the banner of Clevadio; a rhythmic mashup of nicknames gathered throughout his years in music. As Clevadio, he serves as both architect and performer, using the moniker as a creative laboratory for his evolving sound. It’s a project rooted in history but constantly pushing toward the next discovery.

At his core, Trevor is a devotee of the craft of songwriting and a champion for the local arts. His passion goes beyond just playing notes; he is deeply invested in the Joplin creative community, with a particular focus on fostering the art of the song. Whether he’s holding a guitar or supporting a fellow creator, Trevor remains a steadfast believer that a strong local arts scene starts with a well-told story and a community that knows how to listen.
